Contemporary dance was developed in the early 20th century as a reaction against old and rigid techniques. Contemporary dance places a heavy emphasis on the connection between mind and body , with dancers being encouraged to explore their emotions through movements which push against traditional boundaries.This dance often involves a great deal of playing with balance , floor work , fall and recovery, and improvisation.

Bollywood dance is the dance-form used in the Indian films. It is a mixture of numerous styles. These styles include belly-dancing, kathak, Indian folk, Western popular, and "modern", jazz, and even Western dancing!the music is a great mix of the latest and hottest bollywood , bhangra tunes and the best of the remixes.
Hip hop is a cultural movement which is developed in New York City in the 1970’s primarily among African Americans and Latin Americans. Hip hop’s four main elements are rapping, DJing , graffiti writing and break dancing.
Ballet was started in the 16th century French courts. It is an elite form of dancing that requires great foot muscle movements and suspension on the toes. The story and plot are conveyed through a dancer’s action and facial expressions , along with orchestral accompaniment.
